I have decided to offer my time as a maths tutor for students looking to prepare for their GCSE exams. I am based in Sittingbourne in Kent and can offer face-to-face lessons for local people in the area but am also able offer maths tutoring services to all areas of the UK by providing lessons via Skype.

I am currently an undergraduate studying for my BSc (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Kent and hold Level 3 qualifications in pure maths and engineering maths. I was quite an energetic (and often labeled as “problem”) child myself so I can relate to children who may struggle to concentrate in the normal class room environment.

I believe anyone can “do” maths and my goal is to make the “why” we do something clear. Often when learning something we don’t know why we are doing so and in my experience, it is this missing “why” that makes learning so difficult. My job is to bring a new purpose to doing maths and a deeper understanding of what we’re doing, rather than just following a set process or method given to us by our teachers.
